Journal articles or books from other libraries can be ordered through our interlibrary loan department. Books are generally received on loan for three weeks. Journal articles are received either by post, by fax or by an electronic delivery system, ARIEL.
A fee must be payed for interlibrary loans. Please contact an ILL librarian for payment rates.
Payment is in cash upon delivery.
Teachers or university staff can pay by filling Form 29. After arrangement of payment the material will be delivered by internal mail.
Interlibrary loan services are based on cooperation with other Israeli academic libraries. It is understood that the borrowing library and reader must treat the borrowed materials as they would their own property. Failure to do so jeopardizes our ability to provide ILL services in future.
The loan period for borrowed books is generally three weeks. Books will be held for the period of one week and if not picked up by the reader, returned to the lending library.
Books loaned through interlibrary loan service can not be renewed by the reader, please tell ILL staff which requests you would like to renew and we will do it for you. You must request permission for each ILL renewal.
The lending library sets the fine for overdue books.
To order a journal article or a book from an other university or institution please fill out and send one of the forms, or contact the ILL librarian by e-mail: ninab@savion.cc.huji.ac.il
An interlibrary loan takes time. It may take 2 weeks for materials to arrive.
