related Mycenaean pottery from Tomb 387 at Laish/Dan (by neutron
activation analysis), A. Biran Volume 23, Israel Exploration
Society, pp. 54-63.
This study focuses on the Tomb 387 at Dan at the foot of the
Golan Heights wherein pottery was found (over 90 vessels) that
are all Mycenaean IIIA and B. Among this assembly is a charioteer
krater that is quite rare in the Mycenaean world. INAA proved
that the krater as well as other bowls and stirrup jars were made
in the Argolid of the Greek mainland. The tomb that contained
skeletons of men, women and children must have been a family tomb
of foreigners that headed the emporium stationed in Dan which is
the gate to other sites to the East. When they died, they were
buried with their most illustrous pottery known from that time.
