Ground transportation to
Jerusalem (ca. 40 km/25 miles away) is by shared or special taxi service
available 24 hours a day at Level G of the Multi Level Road. Remember to ask the
driver to drop you at Ramat Rachel Hotel. It is advisable to ask the driver for
a receipt.
Special taxi service will
cost about NIS 220 (=$51) per taxi direct to the venue at Ramat Rachel (can be
shared by up to four persons) and is usually available without any wait.
The shared taxi service
(Sherut) costs at present NIS 45.30 (= $10) per person and will also take you to
the venue. There may be a usually short wait till the taxi fills up. The
advantage/disadvantage of the shared taxi is that you will probably be subject
to a tour of Jerusalem neighborhoods, you would not otherwise visit, while it
drops off other passengers. Ramat Rachel is at the southern end of the city (see
http://www.ramatrachel.co.il/location_access.htm), so that you will most
probably be the last to be dropped off.
